I worked with two other designers (Jack Raybuck and Ashley Bennett) to create a display typeface for our Communication Systems class. We explored many different options, produced a final typeface, then built out collateral to show off the quirky characters. Our primary deliverable was a book; we chose to print it at 8x8" ourselves. We loved how fun and playful the typeface turned out and how well received it was. Here's a link to our process work on dropmark.
Above you can see our hand-drawn type next to the digitized type. We traced the letters in Procreate, cleaned up the points in Illustrator, then transferred them to Glyphs.
